ISO 22300 Security and resilience - Vocabulary

This project will revise ISO 22300 which was first published in 2012 and revised in 2018. ISO 22300 summarizes all terms and definitions that can be found in standards developed by ISO/TC 292 and is therefore being revised frequently as more and more definitions are being added.

Norma McCormick (Canada), the convenor of WG 1 and responsible for the revision of ISO 22300, explains:Norma

"ISO/TC 292 has taken are resolution  stating that all standards developed by the committee shall include a normative reference to ISO 22300. This ensures that we use a consistent language in our committee as well as in all our documents.

We have also established a process for maintaining ISO 22300 on an on-going basis. By posting all terms and definitions to ISO’s the Online Browsing Platform (OBP) and providing a link to the OBP within each TC 292 standard, the users of each standard are assured that definitions are always current and correct."

The current version of ISO 22300 includes 277 terms and definitions. The intention of this 3rd edition is to expand this even further to include terms from recently published standards such as ISO 22326, ISO 22327, ISO 22380, ISO 22380, ISO 22380, ISO 22395 etc.
