ISO 18788:2015 Management system for private security operations - Requirements with guidance for use
This International Standard provides a framework for establishing, implementing, operating,
monitoring, reviewing, maintaining, and improving the management of security operations.
It provides the principles and requirements for a Security Operations Management System.
It is particularly applicable for any type of organization operating in circumstances where governance may be weak and the rule of law undermined, whether due to human or naturally caused events.
Marc Siegel (USA), the project leader responsible for the development of ISO 18788, explains:
"The standard focus on the conduct of security operations consistent with good business and risk management practices –including risks related to human, tangible, and intangible assets."
